We noticed a new ship in the harbor, and it is amazing!! It was generally of clinker construction (that is, with a hull built of overlapping timbers) and identical at either end. Special purpose vessels have special gear. For example, trawlers have winches and arms, stern-trawlers have a rear ramp, and tuna seiners have skiffs. The firm that owns the sinking ship said all of its passengers, including 23 Britons, were "safe and well". In 1934, Cunard bought out White Star; the resulting company name, Cunard White Star, is seen in the advertisements in this project.
